Working in partnership with the local and veteran communities
Tommy's Lounge CiC works closely with the veteran community and also the local community around Huddersfield. On this page we will share some of the organisations who use Tommy's Lounge and host regular sessions with us.
If you would like to work with us in supporting the local or veteran community then please reach out to us to discuss how we can work together to support others.
When visiting Tommy’s Lounge you too can pay your respects at our memorial corner. You can also leave a personal memorial if you’ve lost a loved one whilst in service to their country.
Tommy’s Lounge CiC is a self funded, not for profit, safe space for all. Especially those with a military connection (Veterans and their Families). Suicide rates amongst veterans is considerably higher than their civilian counterparts, and we work tirelessly to provide peer to peer support, work shops, gatherings, days out etc away from alcohol and drugs!

At Tommy's Lounge we never judge, never assume but will always try to signpost you to organisations who can assist you and allow you to get the support you may need. Why not pop in next time you are out in the town, sit down with a brew and see what we can offer through our community partners.

Pink Barbell
Helping the community through fitness and massage
The Pink Barbell supports both the local and veteran communities providing sports therapy (deep tissue massage and rehabilitation) supports mental health and wellbeing through fitness. The Pink Barbell are also a signatory of the Armed Forces Covenant and undertakes volunteer work with veteran sports teams as well as working with amputees and disabled individuals.
